What Ahem is
Ahem is a self-help tool. It reads the bills and papers you add, points out possible issues, and drafts letters and phone scripts you can use. Ahem is a self-help tool. It is not a law firm, a medical provider, or an insurer.
You stay in charge
You read and sign every letter. Nothing goes out without your OK.
No promised result
Ahem cannot promise that a hospital, insurer or collector will change a bill. A flag is a possible issue to ask about, not a final answer. Ahem does not give medical, insurance or other professional advice. In an emergency, call 911.
Your files
What you upload is yours. By adding it you let Ahem store it and read it to run the service for you. The privacy page says who can see it and how to delete everything.
Paying
Prices are shown before you pay. Charges are one time, and nothing renews on its own. Card payments run through Stripe. The kit, the checkout add-on and Posse passes have a 30-day refund. A letter we mail for you is refunded if it can't be mailed, not after it is in the mail. See refunds.
Using Ahem fairly
Add only papers that are yours, or that you are helping with because the person asked you to. Do not use Ahem to break into it, copy it in bulk, or send false information to a hospital or insurer.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when. If a change matters to something you bought, we will say so on this page.
