ahem

Privacy, in plain English

What we keep

Your email address, the answers you give in setup, the files you upload, what the scanner reads off them, and the letters you write. That's it.

Where it lives

In a private database and a private file bucket. Every table is locked so only you, and anyone you personally invite to a case, can see it. File links expire after 5 minutes.

Who else sees it

To read your bill, Ahem sends each page (never your name or email) to Anthropic's Claude API, which reads it and returns the numbers. Under Anthropic's standard API terms, inputs aren't used for training. Reminder emails go through Resend and only say that a step is due, never what it's about.

What we don't do

No ads. No tracking pixels or third-party scripts. On public pages (not inside your account) we count views per page per day, where on the page people click (as a position, plus the button or link label), and how far they scroll. No cookies, IP addresses, account ids, typing or screen recording. We don't sell or share your data. We never send a letter unless you choose to.

Deleting everything

Go to Progress → Delete my data. It removes every file, case, letter, and your account right away. It can't be undone.

What Ahem is

A self-help tool. It points out possible issues and gives you templates. You decide what to send, and you sign it.

Consent

You agreed when you signed up that Ahem stores health-related information you give it. You agree again each time you invite someone to a case.

Ahem — Clear your throat. Clear your bill.
